UGE International Ltd. is a distributed solar energy company founded in 2008 with the mission of making renewable energy accessible and affordable for all. The company develops, owns, and operates community and commercial solar and battery storage projects, primarily across the U.S., leveraging over 500 megawatts of project experience. While UGE initially worked on various global clean energy solutions, it later focused entirely on solar and battery storage in the U.S. A significant change in the company’s structure occurred in August 2024 when UGE completed a “go-private transaction” after being acquired by NOVA Infrastructure.

The company offers several pathways for participation in the transition to renewable energy. Building owners and landowners can “Host a Project” by monetizing their roof space or land with long-term lease payments for community solar projects, while residential and commercial off-takers can “Subscribe to a Project” to receive electricity.
