Syncarpha Capital, LLC, co-founded by Cliff Chapman and Richard Turnure in 2009, is a New York-based developer, long-term owner, and operator of distributed generation solar and storage projects across the United States. The company was established to capitalize on the alternative energy sector by investing in assets with long duration, excellent credit quality, and high risk-adjusted returns. Syncarpha is a vertically-integrated platform that specializes in developing, owning, and operating commercial, industrial, small utility-scale, and community solar systems, with proven expertise in complex sites such as brownfields and capped landfills.

An early mover in the renewable energy market, Syncarpha began in New Jersey and expanded to Northeast markets like Massachusetts before venturing into states including Arizona, Nevada, New York, and South Carolina. As of recent data, the company has deployed over 256 MW across 68 projects in over 13 states and has raised over $473 million in financing for its assets. Community solar, offered through its subsidiary Solar Gardens by Syncarpha, has become a major focus, providing access to clean energy and savings for homeowners, renters, and businesses. Syncarpha has also secured long-term partnerships with investors, including Pacolet Milliken, which became the largest shareholder in 2022.
