Sunnova Energy International Inc. is an industry-leading adaptive energy services company, founded in 2012 and headquartered in Houston, Texas. Operating across the U.S. and its territories, the company’s mission is to power energy independence by providing clean, affordable, and reliable residential solar and energy storage services. Sunnova’s offerings, built on an “energy as a service” business model, include solar panel installations, battery storage solutions, and comprehensive services such as maintenance, monitoring, repairs, and various financing options like solar leases and power purchase agreements.

The company underwent a significant change in 2025, filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in June and subsequently being acquired by Solaris Assets LLC in September through a court-supervised sale process. Following the acquisition, Sunnova ceased independent operations. SunStrong Management, an experienced asset manager dedicated to the renewable-energy sector, assumed responsibility for servicing substantially all of the acquired in-service customer systems, ensuring continuity of operations, billing, and support for existing customers without material changes to payments or contract terms.
