NV Energy, Inc. is a holding company based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Its two principal subsidiaries, Nevada Power Company and Sierra Pacific Power Company, both conduct business under the name NV Energy.

The company serves a large 54,500-square-mile territory that stretches across Nevada from Elko in the north to Laughlin in the south. NV Energy provides a wide range of energy services and products to approximately 2.4 million residents of Nevada, as well as to an estimated 40 million tourists each year.
